Casting Wedge

The hydraulically powered wedge breaks off risers from iron (grey or nodular) and steel castings. It does it quicker, easier, and with more safety than by using hammers, saws or alternative tools. The wedge is readily transferred to place the tip of the wedge into the space between the casting and riser. The cylinder is triggered, when the push button is pressed. The wedge moved forwards, dispersing the side plates apart. The pressure between casting and riser forces a clean break between them at the point from the gate. The wedge retracts if the button has been released.
